The Castello di Oviglio Relais is located in the centre of a typical Piedmont village, inhabited by hard-working and kind people, mostly dedicated to agriculture and farming.
Oviglio is the last municipality crossed by the Belbo stream that gives its name to one of the most important wine regions in the world. In this land, for centuries, the local gentry have run internationally famous cellars, for example Gancia, Contratto, Bersano to emntion only a few.
Other prominent wine-makers propose a range of aromatic and sparkling wines of great value, also obtained with a classical method.
From the village of S. Stefano Belbo in the valley of the river Belbo, the home town of the famous Italian writer Cesare Pavese, you can reach the Langhe, another area characterised by food traditions of undiscussed value.
