The location of Oviglio is in the center of a traditional Piedmont village, inhabited by hard-working, discreet people, who are devoted to agriculture.
Oviglio is the last town along the Belbo torrent, of which one of the most important wine regions of the world is named after it. For centuries, noble families have had vineyards of international fame here, for example Gancia, Contratto, and Bersano. Other important wineries produce valuable aromatic wines and sparkling wines, some using the classical method of production.
From the valley of Belbo, in particular S. Stefano Belbo, the birthplace of Cesare Pavese, one reaches Langhe, another territory of undisputed fame for its exquisite wine and food.
